Mourinho going to United or City?
Discussion
Let's face it with the new kids in Town and deep pockets, Fergie can see the writing on the wall and will gracefully step down after a fantastic career at Old Trafford .... M otherwise off to City, he would rather manage the Bigger Club, but could be lured by the cash if Fergie stays.
Don't believe a word of it (in mcr)
Why would he leave Real?
He's just beaten possibly the greatest club side of all time, over a full season and that team are now looking for a new manager
His record is phenomenal and I really hope he does come to united...but it won't be for a while yet.
City, are you kidding? Massive club!

Maureen at United? - never, ever. Or at least I hope not.
He's successful, but I don't like his brand of football, and he's a short term mercenary doing it for his ego.
I'm hoping OGS works out at Villa, as he'll then have served his apprenticeship just in time for SAF to retire upstairs.

Even if Ole gets Villa job and does well for a year or two it's no way near enough experience (molde) to manage one of the biggest clubs in world football, regardless of the sentiment. Besides every ex player who went into management in the last 10 years has been linked (by fans) to replace fergie (until non cut the mustard)He's successful, but I don't like his brand of football, and he's a short term mercenary doing it for his ego.

He does have an ego and was too defensive at Chelsea but the guy is clearly the best manager in the world. No one has won top league in 4 countries (3 major leagues where his team were not favourites). I'd like to think united is big enough for him (history of the club) British press have mostly idolised him and would be good way to really get back at abramovich

I can confirm Mourinho was in Manchester today. Unfortunately an injunction stops me disclosing the details.
True story. John Lennon airport was shut today, I believe he was last seen heading for the M62.hornetrider said:

No, the best manager in the world is the one we currently have. But he will need replacing soon. Maureen isn't the solution, though. He does have an ego and was too defensive at Chelsea but the guy is clearly the best manager in the world. We want someone who will stick around and build another legacy - not a mercenary just notching up trophies on his CV with as many clubs as possible - and his style is more suited to City - he likes to spend a bit of cash, so he'd be right at home there. It's no surprise that he moved on from Chelsea once the purse strings were tightened.
I know exactly what you mean with former players - but I think OGS is the one who could do it - he was very successful with the reserves and has made waves with Molde in his first season. The EPL is more difficult, so it's hard to make a comparison, so we'll have to wait and see.
