Well chaps and chapesses, Tomorrow is the day I collect my new (to me) Cerbera. Went to view a few last weekend, and as soon as I saw this one and spoke to the owner, I knew it was the one I wanted. Agreed on price etc...last weekend and boy has it been a long week of waiting!

For those who are interested, it is my first Cerb, after previously owning a Chim, and is the car of my dreams. It is a '97 4.2. Will post pics over the weekend if I can prize myself out of it.

I'm sure there will be a lot of questions over the coming months/years.

Welcome. They're great cars that can thrill and frustrate in equal measure - but the positives outweigh the negatives.

Post some pix when you get the chance so we can have a perv.

All Cerbera's are the best ever made, the engines are bullet proof, the chassis quality and finish is second to none, the electrics are spot on every time, and they the only TVR's with 4 seats.

I know one of the above it true biglaugh

Enjoy! I've had mine a couple of years and I still grin like an over excited schoolboy when I press the loud button.

We like pictures!!!

Indeed 97 was a fine season for the Cerbera. Congratulations, there can be lots to think about as an owner but just be mindful and don't forget the most important thing, to enjoy the driving machine!

Well lads and ladies, As you can imagine, I have been out all weekend in the sun with my new toy. I am absolutely loving it - what a weekend too - weather wise.

Anyway, here are a few pics, if anyone recognises it, please let me know. The pics don't do the colour justice, it's a purpley blue - focus RS blue I believe.

There is a huge file of receipts with it, and I am over the moon with it.

The only problem is that in my hour drive home, everyone seems to want to race. had fiestas, corsas and lots more glued to my bumper.... and all I wanted to do was have a lazy evening drive in the sun listening to the engine... (I think I'm getting old!)

Cue all the 'I whooped a cerb' threads over on the boy racing forums.

And one thing I missed from being TVRless was that petroly, fibreglassy smell. I loved it. Great to be back!

Stunning OP. Blue ones are the fastest, it's common knowledge on the Cerbera forum. As for the racing thing, I can safely say I've only ever been egged on once in mine, by a couple of young lads in a Civic Type-R. Not worth the huge fine and ban if you get caught, the way these things rocket well into 3 figures is staggering. Enjoy the car, anticipate a few "new owner" niggles, so you're in no doubt as to who's in charge, and let's keep fingers crossed the wetaher stays nice!

I meant to tag the words "in standard form" onto that sentence. When is this 4.8 of yours run in anyway, I'd be interested to passenger and feel the difference from the 4.2.
