A46 to Lincoln from the South?

Has anyone had to go to Lincoln recently? I have to go on Monday from near Birmingham and the last time I went, which was via Nottingham, I remember being caught for about an hour in some horrendous roadworks, but I don't remember where they were - but if they are still on I'm thinking whether I need an alternative route (not sure there is much option though going off the maps).

We live in Loughborough and go to the Lincoln area a lot as that's where my gf's parents live. We get on the a46 Near willoughby on the wolds Which is just before the new bit. Which is all completely open now. Dual carriage way all the way, lovely and new and smooth
