I'm shortly going to a couple of tracks so have put a video camera in the car. All I seem to be able to record is "Fuzz". This however is only when the engine is running which tells me I have interference.

I haven't got the resistor plug extendors, just normal ones and I'm running the normal NGK B7ECS plugs. Am I right in thinking this is more than likely where the "fuzz" is coming from?

Any advice on what is best to change to make the biggest difference and where to get it from?

Cheers

Liam

Are you running of the cars 12v supply or internal batteries on the camera? Its best to use the camera's battery if you can to keep the supply voltage clean. Beyond that if you are still getting interference, it must be pretty severe radio interference form the cars HT, so you can try wrapping the camera as much as possible in tin foil to stop the radio spikes getting in in the first place, otherwise you may need to add some resistance to the HT leads- the easiest way is to add resistance to the king lead, by cutting the lead and adding an inline resistive suppressor- you could get them from motor stores quite easily in the past, not so sure these days. Other wise you will have to use resistive plugs or extenders. Are you running stock HT leads?

Thanks Blitzracing.

Whether I run the camera through the 12v supply or on its own battery I still get the same.

I'm running stock leads, I'll start with these I think, and the inline resistive suppressor you suggested.

Thank again.
