Ive got a copy of the IVA manual and am aware of the min/max distances for the lights but cant seem to find any info regarding the min size of the actual lighting unit itself. At the moment im looking at using motorbike indicators on the back but would these be too small or pose any issue come IVA time? I know many use them on the front but due to not seeing anyone use them on the back (apart from on actual motorbikes) got me wondering why not.

As long as the lights are “E” marked, passed UK regulations, the correct colour, and you fit them correctly, there shouldn’t be a problem.

It’s when you fit Non-“E” marked lights, like some of those LED lights on eBay from china, you’ll have a problem.

But if you’re really worried and you don’t want to spend the time/money first, give them a ring.

Thanks for the reply Dreamspeed. I was about to buy the exact items earlier but luckily ended up opting for the slightly
dearer E-marked ones. My over all lighting plan has changed again (final this time as ive ordered all the ights) and ive gone for a wing mounted indicator.
