Thinking of getting a Chimaera
Discussion
Hi all,
Am thinking of possibly getting a Chimaera (have fancied getting one for some time, the looks, performance and V8 sound along with the leather and walnut dash all tick the boxes) not sure which model so thought would ask.
Not looking to break the sound barrier but have always prefered low down grunt to high revving power, have read the larger engined cars are much torqier than the 400 but is it subjective?
Only real problem i have is that to fund the Chimaera i would have to sell my mk2 RS2000 which i fully restored to concourse standard (hence not using it as had intended lol so really want to make sure i deffinately want one before i put her up for sale!
If any owners in North East Darlington area on here would love to hear from you.
Thanks,
Peter.

Unless you 'have to have' a 450 or 500, I would buy on condition, rather than engine size. Try a few first and see what you think, then decide whether a particular engine is a 'must'.
There are quite a few on here (me included) who would have been happy with any of the variants, others who would only have a 500, or a 450, or whatever.

Hi Pete. I am in Darlington and have had my 450 since January. If you want to meet up to have a look then message me but my car very definitely isn't for sale!
There will be a lot of TVRs at Newby Hall near Ripon tomorrow including a contingent from Tess Valley TVRCC so I would very much recommend having a look.

My beloved 1999 450 (see my profile piccy) is going on the market just as soon as it's back from Hexham Horseless Carriages (can't recommend them highly enough to keep everything perfect).
Thinking of asking for
for a relatively quick and easy sale - to include the private 'TVR' reg as I've not got time to sort out selling separately.
I've used her for long trips down to London, Monaco and Barcelona/Palma and she eats the miles effortlessly. Never missed a beat, either.
ETA
No prices in the forums please.

I have never seen an Olympic Blue Chimaera prior to me getting mine but there was one at Newby today and yours! Looks nice BTW.
Thanks! The colour really suits the car - always what people comment on first (after the sound, of course!). It was one of the standard colours, so I'm not sure why were more didn't leave the factory wearing it.Gassing Station | Chimaera | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
