Think 14 days is the limit on a Notice of Intended Prosecution.
So long as your regsitered details are correct (name, address etc). Any errors with the RO / RK details which would cause delay of the NIP could cancel the 14 day time limit.
How fast do you think you were going and what was the limit ?

They have to issue NIP within 14 days. So in theory if you haven't got something in a fortnight you should be in the clear.
On the other hand, if it's been posted but lost by the postman, even though you haven't got it it has still been issued, and this is valid.
Fairly unlikely scenario, but yust pointing out that non-receipt after a fortnight isn't 100% guarantee of a lucky escape!

Are you sure it was a Speed Camera Van? Reason I ask is that I live near Brighton and Sussex Police often place a camera van on the southbound carriageway of the A23, except that it's not a speed camera van, but an Automatic Number Plate Reader van (ANPR). It's only function is to scan plates for car's that have been nicked, no insurance etc etc. It's not to catch speeding motorists, which was lucky the first time I saw it in my Griff! You can tell if it is an ANPR van because there'll be a shed load of rozzers nearby in cars/on bikes waiting to pull any vehicles the van recognises over.

Good point, I've passed vans at the side of the road that are reading tax disks, too! (well, presumably they read the plate and check the database, rather than actually reading the disc, but...)
They must send the NIP within 14 days, doesn't matter how long it takes to reach you, as I understand it.

As i understand it, 14 Days is the limit also i heard a while ago about a footballer that filled the form out but did not sign it and got away with it. I thought this was a load of bo11ox until i had a chat with my neighbour who has told me of 4 Speeding tickets he has got off due to not signing form. Now i have never ever been caught speeding because i drive fast in the right places to find out if this is true. Anyone ever encountered this, Also ANPR van has seen me twice last year when i had a photo copy of a Tax disk(sorry) in my car and i never heard a thing. Perhaps they only target some vehicles....
