l my canon 7D is off to a new owner tomorrow, thought I would post up a few shots I have taken with it over the last 2.5 years or so.

Its been a fantastic body and stood up to whatever I have thrown at it, not quite as bad as digital rev though!

I'm not someone who shoots landscapes but I must say these are fantastic images. I'm surprised you'd buy a 7D to start with Rob. It's a great camera, but since landscapes are what you seem to shoot most, I wouldn't have thought a 1.6 crop sensor would have appealed to you?

When I switched from the 350d I had a long hard think about what was next. I do shoot other stuff that isnt landscapes (they dont get show as much though!). But since then I've certainly focused more on landscapes than anything else. The cost of switching to ff lenses put me off too. I much preferred the 7D's performance and abilities.

I still do, but I will get that back with a 5d3 later.

Seascapes are sigma 10-20, the rest is the 17-55 (currently for sale ).

Pp from a fair bit (seascapes generally, not the pier shot) to almost nothing (the commuter)

They certainly are incredible shots Rob, well done!

I've been casting my eye over new camera bodies just recently and currently the 7D is in the lead. Images like this help too!

Looking back, do you wish you'd gone straight to FF when you stepped up to the 7D?

Tricky, I have no complaints, probably could have done with switching the 10-20 for something else when I got it.
In almost every way the 5d2 is a step back.
