alfa giulietta alarm beeping

hello

wife cought a giulietta at the weekend (diesel 170bhp veloce) and every time she arms or disarms the alarm it beeps, have checked the manual but didnt see anything in the menu system to turn off the beeps its annoying everytime you lock/unlock the car.

can it be turned off?

It's normal for Alfa alarms. Annoying too........ There may be a way to disable it but prob via diagnostic. Otherwise check on alfaowner.com as there may be a how to.

I was told by the dealer you can't shut it off. Let me know if you find a way!

It can be done. Different EU countries have differing rules on this. If set to Holland then there are no opening/closing beeps
