alpine media station sat nav

hope someone on here can help, I have a euro trip coming up very shortly, I have all of the co ordinates for start, places on route and finish points for each day, however I cannot see how I can make a planned route on the satnav, it does show start points and way points but being a computer numpty I am having problems............anyone familiar with the alpine system?

just as an update for anyone else who may have problems, I spoke to a nice man at Alpine today who has sent me a full pdf instruction manual, if anyone needs a copy drop me a line.
