The last transit for a hundred years happens on the 6th June apparently - I'd better get some eclipse shades!

It's a bit badly timed for UK viewing. It will already have commenced when the sun rises in the UK. The 2004 transit was more favourable for UK viewers.

Just been mooching at it, early am and not for long, start around 05:05 end 05:55 (picking visible times off Starry night). Ending around 6 or 7 deg in the sky.
