trackday tyres

can i have recomendations on the best trackday tyres that arent stupidly priced im after 195/50/r15's for a lotus 7 they wont get any road use but will get spun up a lot have heard good things about the toyo r888 but wanted to hear peoples opinion's on how they compare with other brands

Can't go wrong with Toyo TR1's or 888's.

Reasonably priced too.

If you just want to go sideways everywhere then I would be tempted with a budget tyre instead - i.e if grip isn't your first concern

I used to have the A048's and they are simply amazing. BUT, on an Exige, they are nearly £300 each....

888's would be my choice
