Just wondering if anyone has tried one of these with any lasting success.

States guaranteed for 3yrs.

All IMHO, but I'd contact ACT who have genuine Lucas parts still.

Seem to remember several posts on here re: pattern electrical/HT parts for the RV8 - none of them very complimentary. OK, you might spend another 5 quid for a rotor arm, but it will last.

I dont think the ACT ones are old stock Lucas items as there are non left, and with p & p will be best part of £30. For the price and 3 yr warranty i think i will give one a go. I will report back on my findings.

The only breakdown I had on the move with my old V8S was with a broken pattern part rotor arm, thought I'd blown the engine hehe. I'd be tempted to source an original part if I still had it myself, must be plenty of dusty old motor factors around with things like this gathering dust across the country.

I heard ACT buy them from Famous four anyway(not sure how true this is???) they are a lot cheaper on Famous four for Lucas ones anyway, its where I bought mine last year

£30 is about right for an embossed rotor arm. Everyone seem to know what they are now so no cheap ones about.
Pattern ones much cheaper but cause loads of issues.

Call me cynical but how long till the chinese cotton on and start churning out embossed rotor arms in little green lucas boxes irked
