Last night over two out of three journeys I got a new dash message - Emergency Brake Assist Failure. It wouldn't go away and produced a red triangle warning light. This mornings drive, however, resulted in no message/error.

Before I give the dealer a call for a warranty job, can anyone shed some light on what this is likely to be? It didn't seem to affect my braking in any way...although my hand brake has been a bit weak recently - it needs a lot of clicks before holding the car on a slope.

I've read it might be the brake pressure sensor on the master cylinder?

EDIT: Car is a manual '05 DB9

It was on my old V8V - Seems a common issue I think

That was my diagnosis last year James and it was indeed fixed under (original) warranty smile

Thanks all - went for a good drive tonight and it didn't appear. Until the next time I guess...
