Ron seems to be a fairly forgiving kind of chap. After all, he kept Pedro De La Rosa in the team after he had been part of the spying ring.

Personally I'd have very publically sacked him.

Remember Ron is now Chairman of the McLaren Group and therefore is more interested in the bottom line than the third pedal. If the book is elegant and anal enough Ron will just enjoy the income.
