RWYB (run what you brung) day at Santa Pod. Due to the poor take up of the Hants region I am opening it up to all of PH. Who fancies it?

Be there for around 9.30am? (anyone with experience of the Pod suggest earlier/later?)

what do you reckon guys?

"oooo, look at those pretty clouds"

In that case my wheezy little Scirocco would have a fighting chance

Went to my first RWYB couple of weeks ago and enjoyed it far more than I thought I would... surprised there hasn't been a stronger response (so far)

Cheers, Phil

Hi Guys
Santa Pod sounds good, not been there myself but fancied a couple timed of runs. Get some proper figures for the Elise.
DustyC, how's things?

Hi mate - saw your picks from Goodwood. Cuzza impressed us all with his Elise at Thorney Island - look forward to seeing another one on the strip.

I wouldn't be too worried, my front tyres are currently the well known "stunner" make, the wings and sills are rusting away and it likes to leave a blue cloud as it trundles down the road

Daves Elise is surprisingly quick. Would be good to see it run next to Richards.

I have got my pics back of the goodwood track day but none of your car alone. However, it is in a lot of the shots. I'll scan them and post them soon.

Shnozz feel free to host the one I just sent you if you want to. Im rather busy here today.

By coincidence the Scirocco is sporting 4 of Stunner's finest

But made it even more satisfying beating a 309gti that should have thrashed me

I found the whole place had a friendly car-obsessed atmosphere, conversations being struck up whatever the parties were driving...

T'was a good day out.

Assuming all goes well and I get up there (as is the plan) then I'll be taking my camera up so if anyone particularly wants pics of themselves just see me and I'll try to make sure I get some of you (hopefully even some good ones ).

Oh yeah - top tip:

If you open your sunroof in the queue 'cos it's getting a bit warm...

Remember to shut it before getting staged, so that the start marshall doen't have to remind you, and you don't delay the run...

Some piccies of the variety of cars in the queue last visit:

And finally, some twat who punted his mates 205 into the barrier while thrashing it and down the 10mph service road

Cheers, Phil
