As the title really. I'm looking to replace my CDR23/Bose equipped car stereo with an after market Becker head unit with Bluetooth and Nav. Does anybody have one fitted or know if it's possible??

I've found a good used Becker Indianapolis Pro 7953 for sale locally at a good price.

No it doesn't
It's not the end of the world though to bypass the temperamental amp.

I've found this out this morning. Rather than buying an older style Becker, I'm considering getting a new double din unit with all the gadgets, and replacing the amplifier. I've also been told that some double din units may not require an amp to drive my bose speakers and sub???

I'm running an alpine double din, driving my bose speakers.
However I did fit a small amp to drive the subs

Is it a 996 you have too?? Do you have a picture of the installed head unit?

I'm unsure what to buy! I've had a look, but as my car is a 2002, I don't want anything that looks ultra modern and possibly way out of place in the dash.

My profile pic has my previous Pioneer F900BT in my 2002 C4S
I don't have an eye for interior design, at all, so not really sure how it looks(TBH I think it looks OK, but certainly not factory)

That looks good Tino! That's exactly what I'm looking for. I'll need to get looking around.

Thanks, but I'd rather go for a double din unit as I'll be moving the heater controls down to the lower section of the centre console.
