Dont' worry about the slightly dubious website name all you dirty minded folk out there, just been browsing Facebook and a mate recommended this website, who basically sell HUGE boxes of meat online. All packed up and sent out to you via courier within 12 hours, in an insulated cool box type thing which they say would keep it cool for 48 hours. Some of the prices of the bundles looked a bit much at first, but then I looked at what the bundles included and my god, there's plenty in there, will definitely be spending big on payday

I've just done a little exercise based on the Student Pack @ £78.00
8x 9oz Chicken fillets
2x 1kg Minced steak
16x 4oz Whelan’s Cumberland Sausage
8x 6oz Beef Burgers
2x 500g Bacon
8x 8oz Pork Sirloins
4x 8oz Rump steak
To buy something similar from Tesco would be £88.
Hmm, not as much difference as I thought, was that with the premium stuff (Finest), mid range or the 'Value" range? Don't know what the stuff from here will be like but seeing as it's all sourced from farms local to their HQ, I'd wager it's pretty good quality stuff,8x 9oz Chicken fillets

Remember to half the weight comparison with supermarket stuff as 50% of their meat is water. Not to mention it tastes horrible too.8x 9oz Chicken fillets

No information about likely delivery charges anywhere on the site - until you've gone through the ordering process.
Is a good point, however trying it with some made up details, the delivery is included in the price as it's not asking me for any more moolah when redirected to my paypal.Dunclane said:

To buy that from my local butchers would be about £60, using all local meat (& no added water)8x 9oz Chicken fillets

Just done the same test with the student pack on Sainsbury's website, using all the 'premium' Taste The Difference products it came out to be £99. Trying it with all the piss poor quality Basics range comes in at <£50, much cheaper I know, but that stuff is probably a higher % of fag ends and cardboard than meat. Will be ordering the taster pack myself on payday (Friday), the idea with the student pack is that a group of guys or girls all chip in and divide equally, the way they've worked it out, sharing between 4 people means it'll cost £1.13 per person per portion. Mine would probably be a little more, although I'm not quite at American levels of portion size, I do like a little more on the plate.
I use this one and find it to be quite a good price when you catch the offers on the FB page.

There's nothing special about the site, it's just a local Burnley butcher with a fancy web domain name so it appears to be some big nationwide place when in reality he's just a mail order butcher. No need to order your meat online when your local town will probably have at least one butcher who will do the same quality meat for the same price or less. It's just a matter of getting up off your arse and putting the legwork in or order it from the comfort of your armchair and pay the extra for the delivery cost wound into the price.

Good point, it just looked pretty cool when it came up on Facebook, suppose if they're marketing towards students then they're going the right way about it. We've got some pretty good butchers round this way anyway, like I said this just looked great from the Facebook ad which was doing the rounds. Still fancy ordering the taster pack just to see what it's like.DanB7290 said:

Sure, go ahead. Pretty much guaranteed to be a lot nicer than the crap the supermarkets flog and still cheaper too even with delivery. You've nothing to lose so long as you can shift it all before it goes out of date.
