New DBS next year?
Discussion
I would suggest this is what the search function was made for
It's internal factory model number is 310 and it was shown to 'selected' owners yesterday at the Nurburgring test centre. Whether it is DBS or Vanquish, we don't know, though factory sources seem to think it's Vanquish...
I have seen its differential on the factory floor at Gaydon, but nothing more
I have also seen a disguised silver one blatting round the roads close to the factory. It's aggressive looking and looked shorter than a DBS.
Might be revealed at Villa d'Este following Aston's previous specials but it's not a special, just a road car. So maybe not!

thanks Guys, I will make sure I search every question before posting next time....NOT!
It's a bit like asking 'what does fuse 22 do?', it;s been covered a couple of times
Here are the autocar pics for you. God I'm helpful, but probably just because I'm avoiding going to work...

Nice one Yeti...you are right, I should have searched!
Anyway, we will have to wait and see, I rather hope that it looks a bit more agressive than the photos, which tend to look a little more towards DB9 as someone mentioned in the other post. As a dyed in the wool Vanquish S guy, I still think they take a great deal of beating aesthetically, but technically they are challenging. I do hope that whatever AM come up with it gets a bit closer to Ferrari, because I feel the gap has widened a long long way since the Vanquish and 550 Maranello days.

Not only am I told it will look more aggressive than the photos, but also to compensate for the widening power gap with rivals, the car will be lighter tooAnyway, we will have to wait and see, I rather hope that it looks a bit more agressive than the photos, which tend to look a little more towards DB9 as someone mentioned in the other post. Not sure how reliable the info is but it doesn't look like it will be very long til we all find out

what does it call the car on the invitation then?
'Your exclusive invitation to a Special Project' and 'when we unveil one of the most highly anticipated new additions to our model line-up'. Also 'this exciting moment in the development of Aston Martin' and 'this most exclusive of events will be a unique experience'vanquish spirit said:

The invitation is to see 'A Special Project' - no name given for the car. Autocar reckon that it's name has not been decided yet so they may be waiting to see what the reaction is from those who see it. Can't wait.Gassing Station | Aston Martin | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
