Will I damage my engine?
Discussion
Will I cause any damage to my engine starting it and bringing it up to temperature without so much as the manifolds in place? I need to test water, fuel and PAS pressure and that it will start and tick over on my new chip plus ignition timing and I'm concerned about not having enough time left once my new manifolds arrive.
Apart from my eardrums, can anyone forsee any problems?

Well it should start but anything in line of fire might melt pretty quickly from the direct blast of exhaust gas, like the plug leads for example? Rich...
I agree. I did this with a 5.7 litre engine in a Dax Cobra. I managed to set a rockery alight.
