Is it just me or has the price of go-juice gone down by 4-5ppl? I saw a garage in Halifax the other day that had unleaded at 135.9 and diseasel at 139.9.

I feel that there is a catch here and it will rocket up come August/September. Do I stock up now or wait and see if it comes down further?

It's down around 5ppl around where I am too. I wonder if it has anything to do with the tanker drivers' strike being called off.

It is going to go up by 3p in autumn. Around here petrol has dropped in price but diesel hasn't, making it 8-9ppl more expensive.

All that jazz

You wonder if it is the petrol station owners lowering profit margin on fuel to tempt more people in before the increase in autumn or any pending tanker strikes? Maybe they are giving us a break after the debacle the other month?

Or maybe the government secretly lowered the duty without telling us?

136.9 and 142.9 here. It has crept down in recent weeks but I refuse to get excited because its still 40p too much.

Just in time for that duty rise later in the year. The government can then blame the "greedy oil companies" when the price rises beyond the current record high.

I accidently filled up with super (In fairness, it was badly labled, and I was in a rush. I just grabbed the green one)

Just filled up with devil juice at 137.7 in Wigan Robinpark Spazda. The sainsbury off the a49 is 137.9 and 134.9 for evil/petrol respectively.

The reason it's going down is that the price of crude is dropping again now that the Greeks are trying their best to ruin the Eurozone.

Finding it all over the place at the moment, it looks like retailers are unsure what they should be selling at.

Texaco 100 yards from my house unleaded is still at tanker strike levels of 143.9.

Sainsburys a mile further away is 133.9!

Guess where my £50 worth went today?

It needs to keep on going down. Our diesel is still priced bonkerishly compared to France.

Surely the 3p will be added on before August anyway as the fuel companies pay the tax before they sell the fuel to us.

Same down here (at least for petrol). Just done the fuel survey at work, and prices are all around the same round here.
