Hi All, I havent posted on here for an absolute age but I have question that hopefully someone can help me with.
The front of my 400SE sits quite high and I'd like to be able to lower it by about 3cm without spending a small fortune replacing the entire (standard) front suspension.

Does anyone know the length of the standard front springs and where I may be able to get a pair of replacement lowered springs from?

Unfortunately Im not that handy with the spanners so I wouldn't feel confident stripping the suspension down myself to measure the springs on the car at the moment.

Any help and advice will be muchly appreciated.

Theres a guy on fleabay selling lowering springs but i'd save some cash for a good set of shocks/springs to replace all four corners since they're probably around 25 years old

The front of my wedge is 6.5 inches off the ground , the back is 9 inches if you want to compare height.

Simples! Get some lower profile tyres for the front. Job done.

Hello Dave - welcome back. Hope all is well with you.

Have to admit mine is similar.

If you need new from springs to lower the ride height then the two people I would talk to are :

Derek:

Richard Thorpe:

Dont forget we want to see before and after pictures.

Hi Alan,

Yep all is good with me. Hope you are OK too - the last time I saw you your car was green so that must have been some time ago!

I've already had a brief chat with Richard at RT but he told me he doesn't do lowering springs on their own, just the whole replacement units which are beyond my budget at the moment.

I'll give Absolutely Shocks a call and see if they can help.
