With the brief reappearance of the sun the other day I was reminded that about the only thing that irritates me about the current XJ is the reflections off all the chromework on top of the transmission tunnel. Catch the sun at the wrong angle and the glare can be very distracting. Is it just me? Has anyone out there come up with vinyl wrap or veneer kit to cover over the chrome?

Or do I just get my Nan to crochet something to drape over it all? smile

It's just you. Or maybe it's that oil burner you have under the hood.

Are you in Alaska then? Can't see how other drivers don't get the reflection.

If you were paying $8.40 frown per (US) gallon would you still be so sure about the V8?

Indiana. Where it's sunny and heading towards 80 degrees again today. biggrin

Price of gas never put me off my 17mpg Sagaris and my Jag is thye most economical car in my fleet! Gas here is $3.90 today, fluctuates daily as there is little tax in the price compared to European gas. 'mericans wouldn't stand for it. I'm looking for $3 by the election.

Gas price is having some effect though, I'm getting a lot of people trading their Denali's and Escalade's for V8 Range Rovers for the better gas mileage. biggrin

Really? Americans wouldn't stand for the tax we Europeans pay on fuel. So why do we Europeans keep paying?
