Will Porsche ever make it again you think?

I'm not big on Porsches, but I must admit I was always a sucker for the Slant Nose versions. I think it would be awesome if Porsche made a new slant nose 911. Even if just for a limited run of production.

I know there are companies out there, Porsche tuners and what not like Strosek (sp?), who probably offer things like that, but Porsche should bring it back straight from the factory.

Pop-Up Headlights no longer meet the pedestrian safety regulations which is why cars which used to have them have switched to faired-in lights eg. MX5, NSX

See I thought that the was case!!! Thats the dumbest thing ive ever heard! I heard that on top gear I think.

So they can integrate them somehow, use an idea from Strosek, just give me a damn slant nose!

In addition to the legislative problems, improvements in lighting technology has allowed lower diameter bulbs etc, making the popup headlights unnecessary. Eg on the 360 and 575 Ferraris.

Yes I like the pop-up lights on the 944, probably due to being a child of the 80's where every proper sports car had pop-up headlights
They seem to look better on some cars than others though.

They almost are slant nose now anyway. With each new 911 the wings have become less bulky and the bonnet is flat.

Just stick bigger wheels on the back, that will make it slant!


That last pic has nothing to do with it really. I just like watching cars with line lock

Surely anything to make it look less like a VW Beetle is a good thing..
