Best (Most Read) Kit Car Magazine

+1 for CKC - seems to be most progressive, future facing, well written and balanced.
Second TKC. TKC seems to me to be a blues guitarist/kitcar hybrid (!) - little bit "Blundell" in places but some sound features and content.
KC brings up the rear - with the odd decent article getting in the way of the adverts (as does the odd veiled age old axe grind).
All IMHO which means not alot

Agree with all of the above too!
Can't remember the last time I saw TKC on sale - other than at Stoneleigh.
Pretty much stopped buying KC magazine now - I was finding that if I bought it a couple of times in 4-6 months, I was reading lots of re-printed stuff, whether that was articles or "advertisement features".
It does have more pages than the others though!

Try WHSmiths, larger ones seem to always have a few copies. Still CKC is better. Thanks for all the kind comments about CKC. It's always encouraging to hear positive feedback on our efforts. Thank you.

There is not a good one ,never has been and I doubt there ever will be
Mick, genuinely keen to hear you expand on this. What are we missing in the magazine that would engage you?Adam Wilkins

Adam I'm probably being unfair but after trying all of them inc some that are no longer going I would not advise one to have a proper handle on the kit car scene as I know it .60k cobras and tilting trikes and stuf that relies on imprting expensive gear are not really every day kit cars , we have seen repeats of revues of stuff that has been out of prod for years tech articals that are not really technical long diatribes about personal disputes that nobody was even slightly interested in, people taking about using Lotus Elises as a doner cos they are only 10/12k are just a few of the things that sack me off ,Ihave been involved with kits since the sixties [ not full time but wih a strong interest] it is not and never will be a major industry as much as people would like it to be. We will be stuffed with things like IVA because we are not numerous enough to have any clout and never will be. There are some good articals in all of the available mags but most page space is taken up with adverts I know thats what provide the cash for you to print but it gets a little heavy. Ok I'm an old school guy and yet I realise that a good percentage of kit car fansare not shall we say as technicaly experienced as guys like my self [ 50years on the spanners ]and need to be led by the hand.Lets have a little more depth and a little less bling and dreaming ,no one publication is any better or worse than another so no naming and shaming you all need to lift your game , thats all for now bye

When I was last involved with kits in the early 90s, I would have agreed with you. However, I really think you should pick up a copy of CKC.
When I decided to buy a another kit a couple of years ago, I bought CKC to read up about IVA and I was slightly surprised to find it a really good read.
I have just subscribed for the second year, and there have definitely been no "diatribes about personal disputes"
I'm not going to comment on the other magazines, as I have only flicked through them in WHSmith.
I have only just read CKC issue before Stonleigh and must admit it is a little better but still too much bling and dreams yes we all need dreams but some of the stuff is way to far of the the wall, I know the project car is only paper at the moment but the body work cost for some of the very nice drawings would be horrendous!Keep at it !
Although there was a period when kitcar magazines seemed a bit of a pointless exercise, I think to say they are no good and never have been is a bit of a curious comment. Both Alternative Cars and Component Car got me interested in the idea of building a car in the first place and despite having little interest in much of the scene now CKC, and to a lesser extent TKC, both have enough to interest me...interest me enough to BUY them, which says something.
