HELP.......I need a blue flashing light...honest!

So I am refreshing (tarting up) my 1978 SIII Landrover. It was the Coastguard vehicle for Folkstone in its youth and is painted accordingly in dark blue with a yellow roof and bonnet. It is fitted with its original single blue flashing light which unfortunately doesn't work. Well that's no use to me but I don't know where to find one? Anyone go one lying around they don't need? Thanks

Can you fit a bulb and and a turn indicator control relay/circuit?

I thought yellow rotating flash units were fairly easily obtainable, can't you buy one of those and gut it for the relevant bits?

Plastic dome? Chances are a yellow flasher, usually seen on tractors can be butchered to take the blue dome.

Police can nick you for having it fitted.

My Dad had an American black and white sheriffs car with a blue bar of lights and even with a cover over the lights he'd occasionally get stopped.

Once when he was leading the Coventry motoring parade (at their request) a cop even told him to turn the lights off.

Many Police a complete jobsworths.

Many police aren’t 100% sure of the intricacies of some laws, so they always err on the side of caution because it’s better to get bhed about on an internet forum then get fired for accidently agreeing to an illegal activity.

With all the political crap in the police force they don’t have the discretion they used to have.



Anyhow, I agree with the others.
Just find a generic light of the same size/make and swap the dome.
