Electric Garage Doors

I wonder if anyone could help me regarding Electric Garage Doors.

I have at present a Canopy Garage door which locks in place using 3 pins connected to the main lock by wire cable.

I'm looking at putting an Electric Door Opener onto this existing door.

I've been looking on the Web and it seems that Hormann are the best recommended and market leaders in electronic garage door openers.

I've been looking at the Hormann Supramatic E. Which uses a track run system that attachs to the top of the door.

However, i think it seems to be mainly used on Retractorable doors, rather than Canopy Door.

Could anyone with experience or with an electric Canopy door give me some details advice on this.

I think i could use the above system but would need to add a Canopy Bow Arm? Again, if anyone can give me advice on this, i'd be very grateful.

Some openers have the ability to add the extra arm required to get a canopy door open as the vast majority are for simple up and over systems.

Every ad I've seen explicitly states the options open to you. The suppliers will be able to advise you.
Hormann gear is well regarded, too.

I have a supramatic E2 , on a double canopy door. No problems here, although it was there when i got the house, so i can't advise on fitting etc.

I have a PDF of the manual here which details fitting options if you want it?

I think i would need an additional arm as its canopy, it certainly seems that way.
