Just noticed this on the Oulton Park website for Saturday, is it worth going to watch? They have the V-TEC challenge which is my main reason for wanting to go but also the CNC Heads Saloon championship which looks pretty interesting.

At £13 it seems worth the half hour or so drive just to have a gander. And if the weather turns crap I'll just go home hehe

Opinions?

Thanks

Dan

You can't go wrong with the BARC days. The CNC Championship is mega - look out for Paul Dobson in his sideways RX7. I've stacks of pics if you want an idea of what you might see. Alternatively, HSCC have a meeting at Silverstone and DTM is at Brands this weekend. Spoiled for choice!

Been googling the CNC series for the last 15-20minutes. Looks like some very serious cars. Weather permitting I think it might be worth the journey up there. If all else fails and no one I know is off work/fancies going I think I'll take the camera and work on getting some decent shots.

Photos are indicative only - hardly my best. But you get the idea. Chap called Peter Davies on PH runs a Caterham CSR in the championship, he'd be delighted to see you I'm sure. If I wasn't playing at (being rubbish at) drifting on Saturday I'd be there too. Enjoy!

I intend to. I've just been watching a couple of races from March this year, couldn't help noticing an old Astra DTM car! cool

I believe that belongs to Ric Wood. He also campaigns it in the Dutch Supercar Challenge (or whatever it's known as now it encompasses Belgium as well). He also has this rather tasty ex-V8 Star A4...

Without a doubt! I'm very jealous - missed the CNC rounds at Oulton and Croft already this year. Make sure you post your photos in the Club Racing Pics thread in the Club forum :-)

Mr Dobson is doing Classic Thunder this year, not CNC.
Still a great championship though.

Will do. Birthday tomorrow so I'm hoping there isn't a hangover as a result hehe don't intend on commencing proper celebrations until Saturday night. Hopefully.

Well out of touch! Are you competing this year? Believe this is your Rallye...?

The CNC heads championship always provides great racing for a variety of cars, I saw the V-tec challenge last year at oulton and there was only a handful of cars racing, hopefully it grid sizes have increased this year.

Just checked the season guide and the Karts are there aswell.

the CNC heads series is worth the entry alone - brillant races always!

Its always telling that when they are racing the banks are full of the orange army smile
