In DV's book on building Ford SOHC 2.0 Motors he mentions the use of an adapter plate to effectively have a stub 3/4" long coming off the ex-port and protruding into the primary’s sitting in the entrance.
This book is quiet old now and I was wondering if approach is still being used?
I am currently building a Pinto motor now and trying to figure out what is still relevant.

Thanks
GM

Bit of a waste of time really for my car from what I remember.

Anti-reversion headers, with the stub, are still manufactured by a couple of companies here in the U.S. I had good success with a simple mis-match @ the headport/flange on my 2.0L Ford Pinto builds. -Dave- www.secordmotorsports.com

Thanks Dave,
Do you know which companies make those headers?
