Booster seats and children

Does anyone have any definitive answers to the law regarding kids and booster seats? I have a 10 and a 7yr old and we still use these boosters and do not allow them in the front but a friend of ours says its also due to their height???

Why don't you allow them in the front?

I don't let mine in front, the owners manual states on many, many pages that the airbags will do more harm than good to a child.

I was always under the impression that if a child requires a booster seat they have to be in the back. Thanks for the help, both mine are over 135cm and so can sit anywhere with normal adult seat belts

In a rear facing seat I'd agree, but a forward facing one? Especially one that's as far back as possible.

That is what the manual says, also it has side impact airbags, not just one in the dash.

Our old PT Cruiser had a sticker under the visor that said children under the age of 11 should not travel in the front because of the danger of the airbag.

I didn't think kids in child/booster seats could sit in the front if the vehicle has a passenger airbag which can't be disabled.
