I had the day off work today to play in a final national qualifying golf competition....

I didn't.....(end of that story)

However... I drove the Tiv roof off the 30 miles or so to the club this morning.

After a pretty $hit day... I've just got back after a 50 odd mile trip back via Racing Green ...

I'm just about to start on the Beer...

Isn't it great having a TVR, all the worlds troubles disappear..... I knew the golf qualification had gone but I also knew that I would be driving home in the Tiv....

The best Tonic by far....

You all must have been there...?

Silly arse....

Been in the same situation.....

Unlike yourself Adam... Managing to give the Golf a good thrash after a $hit days work doesn't have the same appeal...IMHO.....

Actually, you'd be surprised.

But I do know what you mean. Taking the Griff out for a drive is a pleasure that can only be beaten by one thing.

I of course don't drive the griff to work *ever* as its insured social only. If I ever do drive it to work then I promise to make the whole day pleasurable so that its ok if I have an accident.

I would suspect it would be a bloody good drive though and that Id not want to stop when I got there. id probably have to keep popping out during the day and also be so desperate to get back in it that Id leave very early and take the long route home.
At least, thats what I suspect would happen.

Yip....been there a lot lately....
After a Sh1tty day at work there's nothing to beat getting the roof off and enjoying the blast home....
Enjoying the cool morning air to set you up for the day's mental torture ahead..
and when you have something (or someone ) on your mind...its a great way to focus your thoughts and make you feel lucky to be alive....ahh yes..thats what owning a TVR means to me...

What? You're 'aving a larff!

If I didnt ever own or want a sportscar I would never have come on to PH and would hence have 99% of my mind free to actually get on and focus on work.

As it is I now have drag racing, trackdays, cooling, tyres, polish, buyers guides, shiny bits, unknown birds and Russian jokes to think about leaving me just enough time to fit in a days work!
(BTW: Work smarter, not harder )

You must have a easy life DustyC.....

I do work smarter...believe you me...it's all the other people from the various countries I have to deal with within my line of work that need to adopt that philosophy...
The Russian's are pretty good compared to others BTW...but its a bloody pain to try and get stuff through their customs..

Its true, it is a lot easier now.

Russian cutoms sounds much like China then.
They claimed the hold up was the fax machine breaking several times.

lets hope the new Russian owner doesn't ship the parts department to China then or we are in for big trouble!
