Had a brief email from those people entrusted to watch over my db9 with their tracker system.

Said my subscription had expired.

No advance notice. No quote or options to extend.

I bought my car new 5 years ago. I must admit I thought I paid for a lifetime option as I always intended to keep it but maybe It was only for 5 years??

I think it's crap they just send an email saying its expired.

As an aside I've also been troubled that my tags aren't great so the red light comes on for 5 mins or so when I drive the car yet not once have euro watch troubled themselves to query if I'm driving it or some light fingered thief.

I also tried ringing them, four times in total, to get my iPhone replacing the tags but gave up queuing for more than 15 mins on hold and once trying a different team, saying I'd be rung back but..nope.

Can I get smartrack or do I have to put up with the euro watch muppets and their shameful customer service?

Bit surprised at your experience Norgrom - they paired my phone within a couple of minutes, no problem.

Not sure as to why there would be any impediment to you trying another company smile

I share your angst but to be honest it is up to you to renew your tracker subscription. It is strange that they didn't contact you to say it will be expiring and I assume you didn't make a note of when the renewal would be due. I got a reminder but I had made a diary entry to renew mine a week before the actual expiry date anyway.

They won't call you now as your subscription has expired so the PATS light will stay red for a while but your car is not being actively tracked.

I have always got though quite quickly when I have called them. It may be more expedient to ask a dealer to get your iPhone set up once (if) you have renewed.

I'm reserving judgement, but I phoned this morning to put my car into "service mode", which didn't seem to need very much in the way of security. 30 mins later I get a text message that my car is on the move, so I replied with my pin and phoned them to question why it had that issue in service mode...
