Challenge, where is this car?

I know it's unlikely, needle in haystack, but you never know!?

If it's yours or you know the owner it's possible that someone might want to restore it; if you don't want to disclose the location that's fine but I'd still be interested to know the chassis number/reg no / coachbuilder for the club records. It's very definitely a special, I've never seen a photo of it or anything like it in a better condition and have no idea who the coachbuilder was.

The only clues are that the photo was taken relatively recently and we think it's in the UK.



PS It's a Healey in case you don't recognise it!

It isn't a Westland (same grill, but most Healey models had that) it's a special, saloon, with a clam shell bonnet, we don't know who the coachbuilder was.

That looks like a spoiler on the front, which wouldn't have been around when the Healey was built. There was a guy called Wadsworth who raced a Healey Elliott saloon right into the mid-60s, when spoilers would have been coming into fashion.

The weird thing is the horn grilles being where they are. All pics I have of Healey saloons show headlamps and fog/spot lamps in those positions. Mind you, lots of small coachbuilding companies would have used the Healey as the basis of a one-off product, so it could be by just about anyone.

It could be at the bottom of our garden, but last time i tried getting down there 3 japanese WW2 soldiers shot at me, unaware the war was over, i think shergar, lord lucan and elvis are down there too, i got the wife a machette back in 1976 but shes a lazy moo, shes never got that far

It looks like an aluminium front end with integral wings and a side light on top each side. If those grilles had housed headlamps I reckon they'd be pointing skywards - a real mystery Healey.
