Where is does the Vausxhall brand get sold other than the UK?

I wonder why GM doesn't just market them all as Opel

Nostalgia probably. Or perceptions of Britishness and brand history.

I'm not aware of any other places where Vauxhall are sold, but GM rebrands the same car (Astra for example) as a Saturn in the USA, and a Holden in Oz, so we're not the only market with special badging.

I remember when they sold Opels and Vauxhalls in separate dealerships. I'd much rather have an Ascona over a Cavalier or Manta over a Sportshatch.

Then they called them the same names. Vauxhall Cavalier became the Vectra, but equally the Kadett became the Astra.

Ho hum.

Apparently European Barry Boys like sticking Vauxhall badges on their Opels, as it's seen as cooler. So that's something.
