Headlamp condensation
Discussion
My car has been on the driveway instead of garage and then away for some work.
There is condensation in 2 lenses. Ive my mot soon so need to get fixed.
Need to know the make of the black sealant and where to buy?
Also is this a tricky job or is it best left to a specialist? Has anyone done themselfs?
Im a bit far away so popping into tvr garages or surface and design is a tad difficult.

It's called Sikaflex and I think it's 931.
It can be done yourself, carefully, but there is a risk of either breaking the plastic cover or pulling some surrounding paint off around the headlamp.
If it's just condensation, you might be better off just putting in a small hole to allow the area to vent.
Some posts on here about it as it is a common issue.
Good luck.

I used sikaflex 221. Watch out, though, it's not the easiest stuff to remove if you're over-zealous in your application.
I often thought about putting some of that silca gel stuff (the little packets often packed with new trainers) inside the headlamp covers after resealing, to avoid condensation. In the end I chickened out for fear of an unanticipated chemical reaction or fire.
I'd be interested to know if anyone has tried this, and whether it worked.
