First off, apologies if I've put this in the wrong forum.

I have an Audi A4 and I want to get it mapped to give me a bit more go but also (hopefully) improve my mpg when I'm being sensible. Is there a well regarded place in the Glasgow area? I've been quoted £300 by a guy in Clydebank for a stage one remap and £200 by a company called Angel Tuning who I hadn't heard of until I Googled them.

The guy in Clydebank seems to think that it's worth spending the extra because the latter won't want to hear about it if anything goes wrong with the car.

Any advice on this would be great.

Cheers

Stuart

John at Bedrock Veedubs is an agent for Jabbasport and based in Motherwell.
Unit 6, 347 Orbiston St
Motherwell ML1 1QW
01698 254 666

I used him quite a lot for servicing when I had my leon he's nuts about VW's and is very laid back.
His own Cupra R is anything but standard. Over 400bhp iirc.

Unlike a lot of people that offer remapping services he knows the cars from the ground up.

Unfortunately his website gets a bit neglected and looks pish.

Feel free to give him a shout, tell him Jonathan with the subaru recommended him.

Another option could be the custom code agent:

J Gracie Motor Engineers.
7 Dumbarton Road
Duntocher
Glasgow
Scotland G81 6AT
Tel 01389 877 733

I've never used him but he is a lot closer to you.

Hope this helps.

Andy

It's easy for anyone just to remap your car with a generic map. More often than not they won't check to see if your car is running right with no issues. Do they check fueling etc after the remap?
+1 for SP Autobahn. Stu will check for fault on your car before he starts and the remaap is done live with your car out on the road to make sure it's spot on. He looks after my RS4, S4 and my wife's A4.

Not local to Glasgow (Kirkcaldy) but I would recommend Star.
