Ah, the Fast and the Furious, the inexplicably successful film franchise that we love to hate. Realism never has been high on the agenda of the creators of this series - you only need to look at some of the quarter-mile sequences to realise that (how bad a drag racer do you have to be to downchange halfway through a quarter-mile sprint?).

This homage to the gearchanges of the F&F movies highlights just how hilariously ridiculous it all is, showcasing every single shift of every single film in just 1min 42sec of pure silliness.

Anyway, enjoy. But if you have even an ounce of mechanical sympathy in your body, you probably won't...

im about to click this but can anyone find the pisstake someone did of the scene with brian. basicly its the dubbed first scene in the car park but the kid takes the piss changing gears and in one shot changes gear with his foot.

And even though you're racing in a straight line, there is always 20% of throttle in reserve for when you notice that you're being beaten.

Always loved the first scene of the first film where Brian makes 7 apparent upshifts, racing across the car park... only to get an engine problem that sends the car major spin. I know they're hardly cinematicly brilliant or realisitic (bridge jump in the 2nd film anyone?), but for some reason I've got a soft spot for the F&F francise
