Anyone seen this, saw the trailer last night at the cinema when watching Avengers and the trailers atually seemed funny.

Do you mean The Dictator with Sacha Baron Cohen?

I saw the Dictator last night. Bloody brilliant. I thought Bruno went a bit too far, and I like offensive films, but this one is more comparable to Borat. Definitely recommended

Just been to see it tonight, first half was good, but the second half was better. Some proper laugh out loud moments.

I didn't find it very funny and judging by the general lack of laughing in the rest of the cinema I wasn't alone. Should have watched the Avengers instead!

Never been a SBC fan, found Ali G/Bruno/Borat fairly weak personally.

The 100 meters scene in the trailer did make me chuckle but wouldn't waste a cinema trip on it.

I think it's fair to assume that 'the second half was better' means it got better in the second half wink

I'd say one for DVD/lovefilm/apple tv viewing at home rather than a trip to the flicks. 6.5/10.

Finally went to see this last night. I thought it was pretty funny to be honest, not as laugh out loud funny as Borat but some of the jokes were a lot more subtle in it. I did find the turquoise Murcielago's in New York a bit of a subtle mick take of all the Arab supercars in London.

I thought it was great. Agreed, after Borat and Bruno the novelty had worn off, but if this had been the first I expect more people would've been going on about it.
