Two spoke wheels?

Back in the late 90's, two spoke wheels were supposed to be the next big thing, but it never happened.

Why not?

I can only assume it is becouse tastes change, people moved away from three spokes towards multi spokes iirc.

Last year I saw some kind of blue pickup, the model escapes me, with what must have been 22-24 inch 2 spoke wheels. It looked so st it was funny.

I can just imagine someone slamming a Golf over those first ones with loads of camber and the "Dub scene" calling it visionary and individual.
