Yeah, generally, you would have to be a bit "special" to think, "No, I won't have an Aston Martin, I will have a very dis-honest Toyota Supra". Could be worse I suppose, could be based on a 406...
I searched "kit car" and thought I'd see what it was based on. Then I searched for DB9s. The example above wasn't even the cheapest!

Prices of used kitcars are always a joke.
The most expensive Supra on Autotrader is £11k, I suspect that is a closer price to the replica DBS than the one it's advertised at.
If you put the replica on a No Reserve eBay sale it wouldn't even reach that level. (Mystic Truck thinks around 10% of its current price)

Why? Well, bear with me here.
You get a car that looks as good as a DB9 (if you don't have a good eye for detail, or if you just don't have a good eye, and as long as you drive it from the outside somehow). Where was I? Oh yes, it looks as good as a DB9 and is quite possibly faster. If not, at least it can smoke 355s when the driver sneers at you.
Back to reality? No, not for me thanks, at any price. The nose looks quite good but on the whole it just looks like a fake, though I would spend good money on some replicas. Hawk HF3000 for instance.

Not sure why anyone would spend 45K on one car, when you could have an NSX for 20K'ish, and various other interesting cars on top of that.
