Having collected my new (to me) V8V yesterday (pics to follow!), I would like to take it out and start to get to know the car on some decent (quiet) twisty roads early tomorrow morning.
Can anyone suggest a decent route in the NW region? I will be setting out from central Manchester.
Also, thanks to everyone for their guidance over the past weeks/month and of course, Grant's invaluable book.

I have not done it for a good 18 months so cant comment on the Talivans or Scamera presence. Stocksbridge to Holmfirth had a few, Homefirth to the A628 (A6024) is a good stretch as it has open and undulating road with a clear view for miles ahead.
A modified ONR route which is also good fun is the Holmfirth to Greenfield stretch on the A635

P.S. I have never done EVO triangle but this is just down the M56 and to the southwest a bit. However, as you near Scouseland, please ensure your wheels keep revolving for fear that any pause or stall may result in having them lifted and the vehicle stacked on bricks.

Tomorrow will be very much an Aston Day...
For starters there will be TWO GT's there.. quite a rare spot on their own,, so two is twice as rare :-)
Other Aston's are also attending and if you can get up early enough ;-) we can add your V12V also.
So if anyone on here is within driving distance of the M55/M6 interchange then get yourselves along and kick some rubber.

I am hoping to get our for a few hours on Friday. Is there anything else worth exploring over that way? Or maybe I should head towards Wales?
