Fire-extinguishing system
Discussion
Have found an interesting, very simple and inexpensive variant of a fire-extinguishing system.
Unfortunately, no English page, but look at the demo-video, it says it all.

Better protection than no protection.
What do you think?

Very interesting video.
The idea of this looping around the top of the rear clip is an interesting one, kinda belts and braces approach to having a plumbed in extinguisher system. My one thought with this is the firing temperature and the fact i'm not sure how this works where you've potentially got temperatures near to 100 degrees in that area.
What about if you've got a tank puncture, surely you'd want something like a foam coating there that would remain in situ. This system works for a big part by using the explosive compression waveto blow out the fire. I would have thought that an extinguisher that expels over a longer duration makes more sense. Like I said, belts and braces, but it would need a framework of some kind on the clip to support it.
Also, a plumbed system isn't exactly expensive either as a manual of an electric system.

looks cool, but will you get it through customs?
It will be labeled as explosives?

Could be, but I do not think so.
F36 is a non-toxic inert gas.
The pressure energy is not enough to blow up something.
A can of insect killer is probably more dangerous.
And as long as you live in the UK, there are no customs clearance, because the part is delivered within the EU. :-)
