IVA and LED rear lights...
Discussion
There seems to be a leaning away from this sort of thing at the moment, stating that it's not supported by IVA without an e-marking, but as far as I can tell the regulations state that a lamp can either be e-marked or demonstrated to be if equal brightness to a typical e-marked unit. I'm not sure if LED strips alone will be bright enough, but maybe with a reflective backing/surround/reflector arrangement.
Think it's a great idea to make a modern looking light setup considering the big OEMs are just starting to use them widely & we can get the flexible strips so easily from ebay and the like.

As said the wording says E marked or of a similar light intensity to an emarked light.
However, the fog light has to be E marked.
Can't get my head around why one of the many lights would be this way but there it is.
Good luck with your efforts but be aware you will be at the mercy of the inspector on the day.
