Double posts...

I've seen a few like this...



Itmdoesn't look like a double submit issue, or when someone goes 'back' when there is a submit issue. This one is hours from the first post.

Just thought I'd point it out in case it was an issue under the counter.

I would wager that the poster is using an iPhone, Safari tends to re-load the page that was open when re-launching the app, therefore resubmitting the post..

Oh, OK. Why would it resubmit when opening, you would have to reopen with the submit 'command' in action, so to speak?

Type a post, hit submit, leave the "thanks" page open, close safari..
Open safari a couple of hours later... Taaa daaaa...

IIRC it's an odditie with Safari; although not sure from which version. Might be MS.

Not just Safari - it seems to affect most of the WebKit based browsers - particularly the mobile versions.

MS = Mobile Safari.

Perhaps it should be MB (Mobile Browser)

Sometimes if I post from my iPhone I get an error message, it I try resubmitting my post it will double post so I just go back to the topic and check to see if it actually was an error.

I raised a similar thread a while ago as it was happening to me, I use the main site on my Android mobile, must be something to do with Mobile Browsers
