Has anybody tried the Gen Grabber UHP's ? Currently I have some old Pirelli Scorpions on it that have just about finished after 40K . Would have them again, but firstly they are expensive, and secondly I was told that the new version of them does not last as well. Putting them on the 18's. The car is used heavily on the road, pulls a tonne and a half (car not horse) quiet often, and in all honestly wont be seeing any proper mud, although pulling a car through a wet castle coomb parc (not so ) ferme is sometimes on its list of duties!
I had read that the UHP's are noisy, not sure if this is correct or not? Not dead set on them open to advice, but they seem reasonable price, and given the reputation of the AT's I Thought they might be ok.......any ideas?

I have General Grabber UHP on my RR Classic Softdash. They were on a set of wheels I bought about 2 years sgo. Had about 5-6mm tread on back then. I have done about 10,000 miles on them and they still have about 3mm left but will need replacing before winter. Been very good tyres so far. Noise levels okay, grip and handling fine. They are 255/65/16 so wider than usual Rangey tyres. Having changed from original alloys with 205/80/16 tyres can confirm that car feels much more stable and better when towing car trailers/caravan. I would certainly have another set of these tyres. Hope this helps.

UHP's are not noisy and are a great road tyre with very good wet weather performance, good tread life as well.

As you say the General AT has a great reputation, we are strong follower's of the General brand and have many happy customers.

Gotta say - got them on, and am really pleased so far! Much smoother, no noise (or any tyre noise!) at motorway speed (ish!) and same level of grip. Add to that the price difference over the Pirelli's and I am one happy chappy! Thanks for the advice!
