Buying advice please.

Hi folks,

1st time poster on here.

I'm thinking about buying a new car and would love some advice from those more in the know.

I'm currently driving a 2L Fiat Bravo diesel. Ran an RS Megane 225 last year and loved it but the running costs were a tad high for my liking at the time.

I have a budget of around £9k and the car i'm after must be practical as it would be my only car, not bothered if its petrol or diesel but can't have a stupidly low mpg etc.

The other option I thought about was a remap.

I'd really appreciate any and all advice anyone can give me.
