1993 chim dash mileometer noise.

Small thing but the as the mileometer moves it clicks rather loudly must be every ten seconds or so when driving, it looks like when the final dial ticks slowly towards each mile.
Anyone else have this and is there an easy fix? All works fine so unless it's easy I can live with it.
Also clock does not work anyone have a spare working one they would like to sell, or again an easy fix? Rich last owner had it apart and greased up etc.. Which got it going but not for long, any other suggestions? Again nothing major just be nice to get it all working.

It's normal - all the early cars do this. I think there is a modification in Steve Heaths bible that will reduce the ticking. I've not got mine to hand but I remember it not looking like a 5 minute job.

Mine does it and its funny some days I don't notice it at all, then others it seems to be all I can hear!

Yea mine does exactly the same. It's usually when i'm sat still at traffic lights that i notice it more. I just turn the music up or press the loud pedal harder !

As I said its not really annoying me just wanted to check nothing was broken, the loud pedal does the trick!!
