Been quoted for these - do GGP normally have Eibach springs?

Also, is anyone running this set up, i was going for Protec, but am now considering these instead.

Not even with Eibach springs?

As for Nitrons, I know, but at almost double the price scratchchin

I guess Protecs won't be any better, being a similar price to GGP

I've just fitted the latest Bilsteins with Eibach springs to a customer's 2006 Tamora and am really impressed with the results. I think this is the best setup for a Tamora.

GGP's on mine - fitted by the last owner because, "They are the same as the Nitrons but half the price".

Pile of s**t.
About to bin them.
(Unless you'd like to buy them??)

Beyond all this normal suspension discussion...has anyone considered...

- the latest spec Billie's? Friend of mine has just put them on his Sagaris and has nothing but praise for them...they were developed for these cars afterall?

- Also, keep seeing them in their adverts - the AST's (?) from Racing Green? Don't know how much they...how good they are?

Only reason for mentioning these is that they never normally get a look in when the usual GGP, Nitrons, etc get discussed.

Dom at TVR Power was very complementary about the new Billies and runs them on his Sag.

I'm probably going to go down the AST route.
I tried RG's demo car and was thoroughly impressed.

So how much for the AST's?

AST are roughly the same price as nitrons. AS for GGPs you get what you pay for.I have GGPs for the track and they are OK but on the road they just dont react quick enough on rough surfaces. They are however a big improvement over the original set up. I find they skip over bumps at high speed instead of soaking them up

back to the OP and what has been imtimated by others, could better springs improve the GGP's

Im with other sentiments here, they are a huge improvement on standard, to say they are utter sh!t is a bit extreme.

I just depends what you use them for - GGP's are fine for me, I use my Cerb has a family car. Just something fun on a sunny Sunday to take the kids to family BBQ's etc. To be honest I doubt I would even notice if they were on my car instead of the standard.

Some people use their Cerb as a road racing toy. Here the GGPs are probably a little out of their depth as some has already posted their a little slow to react to bumps etc

For track days it seems to be split, some people love them, some people hate them. I wouldn't have a clue, as have no interest in taking my Cerb anywhere near a track.

No, I do agree... I was being a little unkind.
They just don't suit what I want, and I'm not able to get them set up right.
Changing springs, rebound ride height etc may get them just right, but I'd be p***ing in the dark if I started playing around will all that, and probably make it worse.

I know there are a number of people who don't particularly rate GGP, i was just curious if the Eibach springs would make a difference, from reading the above probably not.

Russ at RaceProved has always looked after my cars and advises that if i've only got £700ish to spend then go for Protec, this is what the brain is telling me, but the heart and my credit card are saying Nitron............we'll see which winsscratchchin

There's a little saving to be had on nitrous here http://www.ncbmotorsport.com/index.php/nitron-raci...

Just bought a set and fingers crossed they'll turn up today.

No reference to TVR's on there, does that mean they are interchangeable between makes?

He'll order whatever type of Nitrons you wish and for any model of car that Nitron builds shocks for. Nice enough guy his name is Mark.
