Anybody been to the Grossdeutschland Ring?

Read about it in the EVO article on the R8 GT. Looks like a fine bit of road. Anybody been there?

i tried to find it in early April but couldn't.
i took the evo mag over whilst on a family visit and read the article out there.
as i was driving back home from the south west of Poland, i was willing to make a reasonable detour.
unfortunately, my european atlas didn't have enough detail and the article does not give enough information either.

if i remember correctly, the smal town/village that is mentioned shares it's name with a few others scattered all across Germany.

unless you were actually in the area, i am not so sure it is worth the trek.
it isn't a 'ring or Stelvio.

I was thinking of going to grossglockner, and passing through it on the way. Will let you know if I manage to find it, but I will take your advice and not go massively out of the way to do so
