Hi PH,

I'm going on a little road trip in the summer around Europe with 3 friends. We are buying a nice sheddy estate for the purpose, and will only have the car for about 2 months in total. I'm trying to think of the best way of insuring it. My concern is that one of us will have to be the main driver on the policy, and the rest named drivers, if anyone were to have an accident whilst they were driving, the person who is the main driver would then lose their own NCB.....having spent years cultivating mine I cant afford this to happen, and I'm sure my friends feel the same.

Can anyone think of a way around this, short of each buying a separate insurance policy (which would be crazy)? Could I get a policy where we are all "main" drivers, each responsible for their own actions?

Thanks

If they don't attribute their NCB to the policy they won't lose it in the event of a claim.

You should be able to get a good deal on a policy if you state that you are a low risk driver but have no NCB to put on a policy because it's deployed on another. Job done.
